This year as I drove up to Vermont for the annual Yoga + Yarn Retreat I decided to weave my way through the Catskills, Adirondacks, and Green Mountains, all the while stopping at local yarn shops when I could. One thing (there are many, but that is another blog post entirely) I missed from hibernating during the pandemic for the past few years, was my time visiting at local yarn shops. I always find great inspiration and meet such wonderful people.
Coming up in just a few days is the Local Yarn Store Day, and I encourage anyone who lives near a LYS so stop in and say hello to your fellow makers and creators. From my recent jaunts at my local shops I've found some amazing new yarns, books, and notions.
